How we handle each kind of message

Corrections

Treated as urgent. If you are right, we amend the guide and add a short note explaining what changed and when. We do not quietly edit and pretend it was always that way.

We answer what we can, and we will tell you plainly when we cannot. What we will not do is guess at a specification or invent an opinion about equipment nobody here has used.

Every guide suggestion is logged and genuinely influences what we publish next. Press and partnership enquiries get a reply, but please note we do not accept paid placements of any kind.

To brands and PR agencies

We are glad to receive product information, documentation and specification sheets, and we read them. We do not accept payment for coverage, guaranteed placement, guaranteed positive framing, or link insertions in existing articles. Please do not ask — it saves us both time.

Questions we are asked most

If your question is here, you will get a faster answer by reading than by waiting for a reply.
We can point you to the right guide and explain which trade-off applies to you, and we are happy to do that. What we will not do is name a single product as the one without knowing your budget, what you film, where you film it and what you already own — that kind of answer sounds helpful and usually is not.
We consider all product information sent to us, and we are grateful for documentation and specification sheets. However, receiving a sample creates no obligation to cover it, no obligation to cover it positively, and no timeline. We would rather turn down a review than write one we do not believe.
No. We do not publish guest posts, we do not sell links, and we do not insert links into existing articles for payment. This applies regardless of how the request is framed or how relevant the site is said to be.
Email hello@creatorgearinsider.com with the words Data request in the subject line and tell us what you would like removed. Our privacy policy sets out the rights you have under UK data protection law and how long we take to respond.
It arrives in the same editorial inbox as everything else and you will get a confirmation on screen. We aim to reply within five working days. Corrections are prioritised above everything else.
