We do not test cameras

Every specification is the manufacturer’s own published figure, labelled as such and dated. We do not present anyone else’s measurements as our own.

We verify that a camera exists

Every body we name has been checked on the manufacturer’s own site. Model numbering moves fast and plausible-sounding cameras that do not exist are a real problem in this category.

No exact prices

Camera pricing moves constantly, and UK cashback and trade-in promotions move it further. We publish dated bands and send you to the seller for the current figure.

No paid placements

Nothing appears on a list because someone paid for it. Some links are commercial and that never affects what we recommend or in what order.

Where cameras meet the rest of the kit

A camera is about half of a working setup. The accessories section covers cards, batteries, bags, tripods, filters and cleaning, and it ends with a buying order rather than a shopping list.
